Yes Fest is an exchange for fanfic and fanart featuring consensual, enjoyable sex. All fandoms and all gender combinations are welcome.

Ao3 Collection | Tagset

Eligibility:

Participants: Participants must be 18+ as all works for this exchange will be explicit.

Fandoms: All fandoms are eligible. For modern (20th-21st century) RPF, all nominated characters must be 18+ and famous in their own right (no partners, friends, or family members of celebrities).

Nominations:

The tagset is here. You may nominate up to 10 fandoms, 10 relationships in each fandom, and 10 freeforms.

Only / relationships will be approved. Three- and moresomes are allowed. For a character enjoying themselves alone, nominate them as Solo: Character, eg., "Solo: Selphie Tilmitt (FF8)"

All nominations must be disambiguated.

Sign-ups

You must request and offer 3 unique fandoms, and may request up to 10. You may repeat fandoms as long as you have 3 unique ones. Within a fandom, you must request/offer 1-10 relationships and 4-20 freeforms.

Please include any Do Not Wants (DNWs) in the signup form. DNWs listed elsewhere, or DNWs that attempt to restrict a character's options to produce a specific outcome, are not binding.

If no offers match your requests, your requests will go out for claiming as an initial pinch hit. If this goes unclaimed for several weeks, you may be asked to add extra requests; however, the mod will do what they can to prevent this.

If no requests match your offers, the mods will contact you to see if you can offer anything else. If you do not reply within 24 hours, or there is nothing else you can offer, your signup will be deleted.

You may sign up with two accounts; please know your limits and only do this if you are comfortable completing two assignments.

Assignments:

The assignment you receive will match on (at least) one fandom, medium, relationship, and freeform that you offered. If it does not, contact yesfest.mod@gmail.com so we can fix things.

You must produce one fic of at least 1000 words or one finished original art of at least 500x500 pixels, featuring a relationship in your assignment and one related freeform.

Your work must include enough sexual content to be rated E and that sexual content must be consensual.

Your work must not include your recipient's DNWs. If you have questions or difficulty with a DNW, please contact the mods.

You do not have to create for the relationship/freeform combination you matched on originally.

Posting:

To post your fic/art on AO3: navigate to your AO3 dashboard, click on "Assignments," find your Yes Fest 2021 assignment, and click "Fulfill."

Works containing excessive spelling or grammar errors (enough to hinder comprehension) will not be accepted.

As works should remain anonymous during the collection's anonymous period, do not post your work elsewhere before creator reveals.

You can edit your work after posting it, but your gift must be complete enough to stand as it is by the deadline.

Saved drafts do not fulfill assignments. Please ensure that you post your gift!

Defaulting:

If you cannot finish your gift, please default.

To default: navigate to your AO3 dashboard, click "Assignments," locate your Yes Fest assignment and click "Default."

If you default and your creator also defaults, you will not be assigned a pinch hitter and are not guaranteed a gift.

There is no penalty for defaulting by pushing the default button.

If you are a no-show, i.e., you have not posted a gift by the deadline and have not communicated, the mods will default you. You will need to post a full gift for any request in the exchange (excluding your own) before you will be permitted to participate in any further rounds.

Pinch Hits:

Pinch hits will be posted to the Dreamwidth community.

Please reply to the pinch hit post to claim, including your AO3 username; if you are successful, the mod will contact you and officially assign the pinch hit to you through AO3.

You can claim a pinch hit even if you aren't signed up for the exchange, but you will need an AO3 account.

Treats:
Treats are extra gifts made not because they're assignments but simply because the request was inspiring.

Treats gifted to a participant must still include fandom, ship, one freeform tag and medium the recipient requested. Treats must respect DNWs.

Treats do not have to meet minimum size requirements.

You do not have to be signed up to treat.
