Nominations 2022

Tagset nominations are open! The tagset is here. You may nominate up to 10 fandoms, 20 relationships in each fandom, and 20 freeforms.
Guidelines:
For all nominations: Please include a disambiguation in your ship tags. This means adding the fandom name or an abbreviation of it to the end of the tag, e.g., "Haruno Sakura/Yamanaka Ino (Naruto)" -- this helps keep AO3's system from mis-assigning the tag to additional fandoms.
Please do not use AO3's "All Media Types" or "& Related Fandoms" tags as a general rule; nominate a specific media type (e.g., "Dragon Age (Comics)") or just the title you're interested in. If your fandom actually makes more sense using this tag format, please drop us a comment here and let us know what your fandom's situation is.
Piping: AO3 does this to include multiple names for a lot of characters, e.g., "Wei Ying | Wei Wuxian." If it's still clear who you mean without the piping/multiple names, feel free to leave them out! They can make tags hard to read and can make multi-person ships hard to fit in the character limit.
This exchange is for sexual content, so only / ships will be approved. You may nominate single characters with the prefix Solo:, eg., "Solo: Selphie Tilmitt (FF8)," if you want art or fic of a character enjoying themself alone. Conversely, you may include as many participants in a ship as you can fit in one tag.
Ability to Consent: This exchange assumes that teenagers are able to meaningfully consent to sex but prepubescent children are not. Ships featuring characters who have not reached puberty in their canon appearances will not be accepted.
You may nominate ships in the form of Canon Character/Original Character or Canon Character/Any, but please note that you cannot require that someone matching to you interpret them in a specific way: for example, if you nominate "Jean-Luc Picard/OMC (ST:TNG)," you cannot require a creator to make that character a Romulan with a tragic backstory; if you nominate a crossover of "Melanie King (Magnus Archives)/Any Female Character," you cannot limit which fandoms the other character may come from. You may suggest directions! But your creator is not bound by them.
All Original Work ships should be nominated under "Original Work." If you want specific genders for original work characters, please specify in the tag, e.g., "Female Werewolf/Male Human Jogger (OW)" or "Werewolf/Human Jogger (F/M) (O/W)". A noun that implies a gender ("king," "nun," etc.) does not need a gender designation unless you are specifying a gender other than that implied in the noun ("female king," "nonbinary nun," etc.).
This year we are also allowing Creator's Choice of Fandom; like with Original Work, nominate character types ("Mad Scientist/Most Successful Creation (CCOF)") and specify in the tag if you are looking for specific genders.
Freeforms: All freeforms should be in some way related to sex and all sex should be consensual. For example, "Rain" is not focused enough, but "Sex Outside in the Rain" is fine; "Trading Sex for Freedom" is too coercive for this challenge, but "Roleplay: Trading Sex for Freedom" is fine. Freeforms that do not meet this standard will be either queried or edited/deleted.
Specific Fandom Notes:
For Star Wars: Please nominate under Star Wars Current Canon for things currently part of the canon universe or Star Wars Legends Canon for things retconned out.
For Marvel and DC:
Movies: please nominate under MCU or DCEU respectively.
Comics: please nominate under Marvel 616 or DCU respectively if you are requesting anything in the main continuity. If you want to request an alternate continuity, please nominate it with the most appropriate name for that continuity; your mods would appreciate a heads up so we can keep track.
TV: please nominate under Marvel TV "Defenders TV (Marvel TV)" or DC's Arrowverse respectively. We realize this may flatten some distinctions and that where these titles fall can be messy. These rules are simplified to make it easier to manage the tagset.
Mass Effect: Please nominate Mass Effect Trilogy and Mass Effect Andromeda separately.
Dragon Age: Please nominate by media: Dragon Age (Video Games), Dragon Age (Comics), etc.
Final Fantasy VII: Please nominate under the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" tag for the original continuity and under the "Final Fantasy VII Remake (Video Game 2020)" tag for the new one.
Warhammer 40.000: Please use the umbrella "Warhammer 40.000" tag for both 30k/Horus Heresy and 40k eras.

Date: 2022-08-06 01:33 pm (UTC)About the MCU shows: the Disney+ shows are a different continuity from the Defenders shows (which were all originally Netflix productions) so it might make more sense to either have a third category for the D+ shows, let them be split into their own thing or collapse them under MCU as they have the most characters in common with the movies.
So the Defenders shows are: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, the Punisher and the ensemble show The Defenders.
While the D+ shows are: WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Moon Knight and Ms Marvel, with What If...? Being its own separate thing.
There have been some small cameos from defenders characters into the MCU/D+ universe but they are mostly really separate for now.
Hope this isn't overstepping/is helpful. ๐
